To ensure public protection, each province requires graduates for practical nursing to meet set requirements that include passing an examination that measures the competencies needed to perform safely and effectively as a new entry-level  Practical Nurse (LPN/RPN). Every five years in collaboration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and College of Nursing of Ontario (CNO), 色戒直播 conducts a practice analysis to analyze entry-level LPN/RPNs Canadian practice. Using the data collected from the practice analysis, the REx-PN Test Plan is developed, which guides the selection of content and behaviors to be tested during REx-PN administration. This webinar will provide an overview of the 2019 REx-PN Practice Analysis and the 2022 REx-PN Test Plan.

This session will follow-up from the previous presentation to new item types and scoring provide further examples of the new item types used to measure CJ. Additionally, information about the underlying scoring of the different item types will be presented.

During this session, a demonstration will highlight how the NCJMM has been applied to the development of NGN case studies, including new test items that will be used on the NGN

The first part of this session will highlight the security measures 色戒直播 has put in place for the NCLEX, including incidents that occur at testing centers as well as our confidentiality agreement with both students and educators. During the second part of this session, you will learn about the testing accommodation process, including the roles of the candidate, 色戒直播, Pearson VUE and nursing regulatory bodies.

We will explore the NCLEX registration process as well as the online resources 色戒直播 has available to educators and students. This session will highlight what candidates should expect before, during and after the exam.

The first NGN session of the morning will provide an overview of the foundational NGN work in measuring clinical judgment (CJ) for entry-level nursing. The findings from the functional and strategic practice analysis will be presented along with the foundational research on CJ that led to the development of the NCJMM.

Practice analysis studies assist 色戒直播 in evaluating the validity of the test plan, which guides the content distribution of the NCLEX. This presentation will provide an overview of the evidence-based methodology 色戒直播 uses to determine what content should appear on the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN exams.

The NCLEX uses CAT. It relies on modern psychometric theory coupled with modern computer-driven administration to produce a psychometrically sound, standardized exam for measuring the minimal competency required to practice safe, entry-level nursing. This break out session will describe the background and methods behind the NCLEX CAT methodology.

Ever wonder how NCLEX items are developed? This session will explain the processes and steps every NCLEX item goes through before it can be used on the NCLEX. Opportunities for educator involvement will also be highlighted.
